Feathers & Florence is a destination for the modern bride. A considered, calming space where style, individuality and the art of dressing beautifully come together.
Our tranquil studio is home to a carefully curated edit of independent and luxury bridal designers, including Andrea Hawkes, Edwina O’Gorman, House of Savin, Alba and Stardust. Each designer has been chosen for their distinctive aesthetic, exceptional craftsmanship and ability to offer something beyond the ordinary.
Your experience begins with a private 1.5 hour appointment, created to feel personal, unhurried and entirely yours. Led by co-founder and stylist Melissa, you’ll be guided through our collection. There is no overwhelming rail of gowns to navigate, just a beautiful edit of considered styles chosen with the style-conscious bride in mind.
Our carefully considered collection eliminates the overwhelm of finding your wedding dress and allows you to immerse yourself in the moment, celebrating with your friends and family.
Our studio is open on an appointment only basis so that you can enjoy exclusivity of the studio to find your aisle style. We do not accept walk-ins. To schedule your appointment, please use our online scheduler available here.
To reserve an appointment, a non-refundable booking fee of £25.00 is payable. We kindly ask that if you are unable to make your appointment you do your best to give us 48 hours’ notice.
We suggest starting your bridal shopping journey at least a year before your wedding day, with the aim to finalise your purchase approximately 9-10 months ahead of your wedding day.
If your timeline is shorter, don’t worry. Some of our designers offer a priority service, meaning selected styles can be made and delivered in as little as 8 weeks, for an additional fee. We also have ready-to-wear dresses but styles and sizes are limited, so feel free to get in touch and we can talk you through your options.
You’re welcome to bring up to three guests.
Keeping the guest list intimate often makes for a more relaxed and enjoyable experience, giving you the space to trust your own instincts and focus on how each style makes you feel. Too many opinions can sometimes make the decision feel more overwhelming than it needs to be.
Choose the people whose opinions matter most to you. Everyone else can save their excitement for the big reveal on your wedding day!
We want you to be able to relax, enjoy the experience and give your full attention to finding your dress. With delicate fabrics and intricate details within reach, our studio isn’t the easiest environment for little hands to explore.
For this reason, we kindly ask that children are not invited to your appointment. We hope you understand that this is to protect both the studio and the dresses and, most importantly, your experience.
You do not need to bring anything with you to your appointment, just your beautiful self!
We recommend that you carefully consider your choice of underwear for your appointment. Skin-coloured, seamless underwear complements bridal gowns perfectly, and having a strapless bra can useful to help you envision your bridal style.
We kindly ask that you refrain from wearing fake tan to your appointment, as it can permanently discolour our dresses and impact the experience for future brides.
You’re very welcome to wear makeup, but we ask that you keep it light and avoid lipstick or lip gloss, as these can transfer onto and discolour the dresses.
Our studio doesn't house an in-store seamstress,. We work closely with a highly recommended seamstress.
It's important to note that our dresses are available in standard sizes and will need alterations for a perfect fit tailored to your frame. We advise budgeting £450 for alterations, ensuring your dress fits flawlessly.
We specialise in helping brides find their aisle style, which is why our collection is dedicated exclusively to bridalwear and accessories.
With no distractions beyond the beautiful things you’ve come to explore, your appointment is entirely focused on you, your style and your vision for your wedding day.
